The whole property is part of the 'Bookmark Biosphere' and was South Australians 20th designated Wildlife Refuge and The property presents the opportunity for an entrepreneur to develop the tourism.

Meanwhile Lake Bonney particularly at the bottom of the park is in for major redevelopment since it has been confirmed that rare tortoises are breeding in that particular area. It  is hoped that a breeding sanctuary will soon be developed in that area. Adelaide University Students taking an active role in this project. A 'Corridors of Green', government assisted project is also the subject of ongoing development at our park.
