Riverland Units gave nearly 4,100 volunteer operational hours during the last financial year.
The predominant activity was road accident rescue comprising 41% of all response time; a total of 1683.13 operational hours over 144 incidents.




This compares with 150-160 per year or 1.07/10,000 of the population for South Australia as a whole.
Other incidents comprised Marine Rescue, Search and Rescue, Storm Damage Operations and Other Operations.

Fatal accidents have been occurring in this the area covered by SES units in this Division at approximately 10-12 per year. This equates to a rate of 4.2/10,000 of the population.
